How2Tune


So, you want to know how to tune your guitar?

Well you've come to the right place for that. In this article I will show you how to tune your guitar to the Standard Tuning (E, A, D, G, B, E). O.K., lets grab are axes and role up our sleeves we have a guitar to tune. First use a tuner, a tone pipe, or a piano and tune the top string to the E key.
O.K., now place your finger on the 5th fret of the E string. pluck the E string and then pluck the string right below it. Either tighten or loosen the string until they both have the same pitch. The second string is now A.
Next place your finger on the 5th fret of the A string. Pluck the A string and then pluck the string right below it. Tighten or loosen the string until they both have the same pitch. The third string in now D.
Next place your finger on the 5th fret of the D string. Pluck the D string and then pluck the string right below it. Tighten or loosen the string until they both have the same pitch. The fourth string G.
Next place your finger on the 4th fret of the G string. Pluck the G string and then pluck the string right below it. Tighten or loosen the string until they both have the same pitch. The fifth string is now B.
Now place your finger on the 5th fret of the B string. Pluck the B string and then pluck the string right below it. Tighten or loosen the string until they both have the same pitch. The last string is now E
