The idea for putting the group together was really a long time goal. I always wanted to play with Ralph and Leo as I had known them for quite a while, since they were kids. When they suggested Jake as a drummer, after the first rehearsal, I was completely sold.
The idea was to play music, just music. As "genre-defying" as possible, we try to play modern instrumental (and sometimes vocal) music with regards to the validity of all musical traditions. We play other peoples tunes, but they are usually ones that move us personally, not the most popular standards of the day. The drive is be as original as we know how to be and to have a great time doing it, and translating all of that to the listener.
