Angklung is a traditional music instrument made from bamboo. The instrument applies principles of cylindrical tube.

To play the instrument, one just 'shaking' angklung then it will produce a note. Angklung, adapted pentatonic scale (five note scale). Later, Mr. Daeng Sutigna made some modifications and created angklung in diatonic scale or modern musical scale. Mr. Daeng Sutigna modified this instrument as a means of educational tool since he was a teacher in an elementary school back in 1938.

Since angklung can only produces one note then to performed a complete song one will require at least a set of angklung, but to play the instrument is easy and almost require no musical experience.
