THE PRODIGY

I'm also a great fan of Keith, Leeroy, Liam and Maxim, aka The Prodigy. In case you didn't know, The Prodigy are the biggest selling dance act of all time. Their highly acclaimed new album was released on 30th June 97. It includes collaberations with Kula Shaker singer Crispian Mills, Republica singer Saffron, Skunk Anansie and Dr Octagon. The guys also take samples from the Beastie Boys and The Ultramagnetic Mc's. The album also inlcudes the legendary tracks "Breathe" and "Firestarter". The album went straight in at number in the UK album charts, with record shops opening at midnight on June 30th, so fans could buy the new album, and annoy the neighbours by playing it non-stop through the night. The album has been reccomended everywhere from Mixmag to Ceefax. It has been at Number One in the charts in 22 countries, selling over 3 million copies in its first week!

The Prodigy played LIVE at V97 in Chelmsford and Leeds on 16th and 17th August, and apparently rocked the show!

A new UK tour has recently been announced by the boys. They are playing 10 evenings, including their fave venue from the "Breathe" tour, Brixton Academy. I've no idea about ticket availability, but you must do anything to get a ticket. If you've seen them play live before, you'll know what I mean. If you haven't, SHAME ON YOU! Get a ticket NOW!

Unfortunately, all but a few gigs have sold out. I think Manchester, Brixton and (one new date) Newcastle still have tickets, but I can't be sure.If you haven't got a ticket, FEAR THE WORST :-(

The Prodigy in Russia!

The Prodigy recently played in Russia. They played at Red Square in front of around 250,000 people. The whole concert was free! It went ahead despite threats by the local Russian Mafia.
