The Phantom of Hollywood. I have it on video, taped from the BBC years and years ago. I am trying to obtain it on dvd but I have not come across it yet. Short plot outline: A masked Phantom figure lives in the dark tunnels running beneath the back lot of a former movie lot. When prospective buyers endeavor to purchase the property, the furious phantom goes on the rampage.  Jack Cassidy play's the Phantom . Here is a picture of him. Its in black and white but the movie is in colour

Phantom X- Its a video and its an adult movie...(of the softer kind I am told)  What can I say..I am a bit embarresed that is in my collection. In short:  bad costumes and scenery. They probably rented a villa and rummaged through some trunks for 'periode costumes'  . Christine sleeps with every one (and in every way) who could futher her carreer (including the phantom and even a woman. The ball masque is an orgie... when the Phantom is finally killed and unmasked it turnes out he is not disformed (it was only so in his mind) and both Christine and Carlotta (who als has known him intemately)  sigh "Oh but he was hansom afterall" (or something like that... VIewing it once was enough for me......Still.. it is something not every Phan has in his/her collection (maybe thats partly because they do not want it to????) ;)

Phantom Of The Mall aka Eric's Revenge
Bought this one some time ago on ebay. It has no dutch subs but that is not really a problem. The cover says :"Shopping will never be the same".. Its not a qualtiy movie probably made for teens but I am a collector wants to experience all versions at least once (once was enough for me indeed)

Text from the backcover : Missing presumed dead, in a fire which destroyed his home. Eric Matthews returns a year later to the site now occupied by a massive shopping mall. Demented, even insane, Eric is obsessed with being re-united  with his childhood sweethart, Melody, and destroying the mall. Eric is a tragic victim, half human, half monster, trapped between extremes which propel this story beyound reality into fantasy realms of chilling horror and explosiveaction n this mulis million dollar production with special effects form the man responsible for "the kindred".

Wow one has to admire their way with words though...

Actors: Derek Randall - Morgan Fairchild - Kari WHitman

The Phantom of the Opera, television series with Charles Dance as Phantom
I have this one on video...taped from the dutch television. It is a mini serie and was broadcasted in two parts. It is approx 180 minutes.

Cast: Burt Lancaster, Charles Dance, Andrea Ferreol, Jean Pierre Cassel
It has been a while since I saw it so I am slightly rusty on the way the story goes. Chrisitine is played by Terry Polo I believe. Turns out that the old opera directors which is now replaced is Eriks father. Erik is deformed because his father did not want to marry his mother (a gypsy?) and she tried to abort herself with a potion.  Futher it is a Phantom of the Opera story but slightly soft and romantic...no real horror or an evil violent Phantom.

The Phantom of the Opera with Claude Rains as Phantom (on video)
