Promo dvd (to
promote movie in the netherlands) The man behind the mask
Phantom
Of The Opera - Animation from the 80's
have a copy of this animated version on a very bad video tape (once
taken from tv in the us and then made into pal). Its made for children
bu not very bad. FOr example the Phantom follows kind of the original story
(has for example sceleton like features) of Leroux. Don't remember much
about it, have to view it again
Added later this day. Turns out that on the dvd disk you
see mentioned below is this animation and not the one depicted on the cover
for more info see the descrption below)
Phantom
Of The Opera - Animated Classics for Children
Added later in the day: Phantom is a mystery. In this is a dvd which has a picture the same like the cover but....when I play it it turns out to be the emerald city version from the 80"s. One of the members of my Phantom Friends fanclub also mentioned ordering one animated version and receiving another but we thought is was one dvd gone wrong. Now however I begin to suspect its the same with everyone of these dvds. Its not a disaster for me since I had the other one only on a bad video.( see the mention above this one) but for people who already have it and now think they have a new addition for their collection...its not good news.
Phantom
Of the Opera on ice
Bought this one some time ago on ebay. Its a video, I do not know if
there is a dvd avaiable It's from the Company Plaza. Its a Ice show performed
by Russian Ice skaters and the music is from Roberto Danova. The story
does not follow the book from Leroux but its a interesting incarnation...especially
a skating Phantom.....total playing time 94 minutes.
