'Der Daiwel steet virun der Dir' (in English 'The Devil stands in front of the door')
is one of Luxembourg's oldest independent radio shows,
and it's brought to you by
Pascal (10/93 - 07/00)(left picture) and Lex
(right picture) every Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
on the marvellous waves of Radio ARA.
We started back in October 1993 when a friend of ours told us that Radio ARA were still
looking for DJs. As we made a fanzine and got a lot of CDs and promo tapes, we thought
we could as well play them in a independent radio show.
In the beginning, we were broadcasting every Saturday, and the show was made by
4 people. In addition to Pascal and Lex, there were Tom and Marc who stopped after some time
as they were both moving out of Luxembourg.
Until the year 2000, we were doing that radio thing every week without a pause (only 2 shows were
cancelled in 7 years). On July of that year, Pascal was leaving Luxemburg, too. Lex of course
continues presenting the oldest true Alternative radio show in Luxemburg.
He's presenting a lot of new stuff which he gets from record labels, distributions
and the bands. The musical styles featured in 'Der Daiwel steet virun der Dir' are
quite broad: punk, hardcore, metal, industrial, avantgarde,
experimental, noise, etc.
So if you're in a band or if you're doing a distro or label, you can
send your stuff
to him, and be sure that it will be featured on Radio ARA.
