* We use the cards to make lables for books, posters etc.
* After printing, we often cut out the front of the card, and glue it on the front of a coloured piece of A4 paper. This leaves plenty of room for our students to sign inside.
* We sometimes try and select all of the stamps of a particular colour (red has a lot of different stamps) to make a label for colour posters or to reinforce colour concepts.
* Nice things to have when making up cards are: crayons (regular and fluro for some bright effects), glitter, sequins, stickers, ribbons, stamps, feathers, lace and anything you can lay your hands on. We like to use ribbons to glue for borders, or to roll up the card like a scroll and tie it up with masses of curling ribbon.
* We try to send cards for as many occasions as possible to give our students some experience in this form of communication. Any occasion is an excuse - a thankyou to a parent for helping us out, birthdays, farewells, invitations, acceptances, welcomes, etc.
