Welcome to Grey Matter's Bio Page.
Grey Matter was started by Roderick Deerr (Bass guitar) and Clinton Harris (Guitar), in November 1998,
and was originally called The Void. The band soon aquired two new guitarists, Sean
Alexander and Jason Henry, and a drummer, Ryan Martin. After only one practice the
band dumped Jason. Clinton soon faded away, and we were left with Roderick Deerr on
Bass Guitar, Sean Alexander on Lead Guitar, and Ryan Martin on Drums. The band soon
changed their name to Disarray and began working. After about a month, Ryan left
drumming and became Vocalist. Then after another couple of months we had to change our band name.
So we changed it to Grey Matter.
Grey Matter combines many, many types of music into one unique sound that leans a little toward the
alternative side. Their first two songs, If It's Not Too Hard and I Can't Believe,
serve as a good example of the bands diversity. My predictions for the band?
Well, with the outstanding play of lead guitarist Sean Alexander and his lyrisism, the
seriousness and want-to attitude of Roderick Deerr, and the "let's not get to serious
guys" attitude of Ryan Martin, Grey Matter will probablly go pretty far if they stick
with it and find themselves a freakin drummer!!!!
