I was thinking over the notion that Mother Nature can be a cruel mistress. You know, it's a eat-or-be-eaten world out there. So what makes us think that it's any different on far away worlds where evolution may have taken another path? Check out my developing short story. We Come in Fear My interest in science fiction developed at an early age, largely thanks to some fascinating tv shows. | Someday soon, if I can accumulate enough artifacts related to this endeavor, I shall create a chronical of this futuristic and visionary undertaking. It all started when Mike read a short story by Robert A. Heinlein entitled "We Also Walk Dogs." "Why can't we start a company like that?" he asked. One of our start-ups was called "Talents, Unlimited," wherein we hoped to assemble a cadre of psychics to rent out to businesses and interested parties. We even corresponded with J. B. Rhine at the Duke Parapsychology Institute (see below). And the rest is history! | ||||||||||||||||||
