Doug Perry

    Doug Perry is a founding member of Dance Planet. He has been a member of various dance troupes and has choreographed for them as well as for Dance Planet shows. Doug also teaches hip-hop style dance and is co-director of the Dance Planet Dance Troupe. Along with the other talented members of Dance Planet, Doug and his twin brother Derek have held residencies at the hottest nightclubs, performed for audiences numbering into the thousands, sold out all of their full length dance concerts, taught dance to countless enthusiastic students of all ages and levels, and (according to RIdance.com): "staked their claim as Rhode Island's most likely to succeed new company". Doug has also worked with many singers including Gioia Bruno (former member of Expose'), Kristine W, Rockell, Thea Austin (Snap!, Thunderpuss), Sixx Carter, Jania, Rebecca Simone, Marco, and Sina.  Doug was a dancer for the Janet Jackson Tribute Band, Twysted Elegance and has danced in music videos choreographed by Ocean Duran and Kennis Marquis. Since relocating to Los Angeles in late 2003,  Doug has appeared on the television show, On-Air With Ryan Seacrest, interviewing celebrities with Derek on the red carpet and they both shot a special twin episode of UPN's dance competition show, Dance 360. Also with his brother, Doug danced in American Bandstand scenes on NBC's American Dreams and was a featured dancer in a musical film about High School Football entitled The Sound Of Football. Behind the scenes, Doug has been working at  Millennium Dance Complex where he is a member of the work study program and studies dance with many of the world's top choreographers.
