Tammy Yamada



Tammy    Tammy Yamada was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and settled down in Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She is a current member of the new theatre group, Eleven and has been with hereandnow Theatre company for five years. During that time, she has toured with them nationally. Tammy's first professional dance performance was for the Female World Cup Final Game Halftime Show with British pop star Billie at The Rose Bowl. Tammy continued to study and work in the dance field and became a Dance Planeteer soon after working with Doug and Derek on the musical film The Sound Of Football. Since then, with their strong guidance and kindness, she danced with them for a Janet Jackson Tribute Band, Madonna Birthday Bash, Sundance with Kristine W, Freestyle Explosion and other events with Gioia Bruno (former member of Expose'), and a Janet Jackson Single Release Party to name a few highlights. Tammy's theatrical credits include: Pacific Overture with East West Players, Fentor, Boba Stories with hereandnow and she just finished shooting an independent musical film entitled Oh Baby. Tammy recently appeared in commercials for Burger King and Disneyland and she has also worked as an extra in many Hollywood films and Television shows including The Last Samurai, House, E.R., and Friends. Tammy was very excited to visit and perform in Rhode Island, the original home of Dance Planet. Following the RI run of Destination: Dance Planet in October, she traveled to NYC to coordinate over 300 Japanese dance students in Manhattan. Tammy would like to send special thanks to Derek and Doug for their support and friendship.
