Nina Hansell
Nina definitely provides an explosion of glamour in
The Bismarcks' otherwise corpulent masculine world.
Her serpentine dancing and percussive fiddle style is the fruit born
out of years playing in English pub sessions with her melodious father
and being brought up in clogs!
Years ago, at Cleethorpes Folk festival, the infant Nina appeared
as a dragon in the very Mummers play in which her brother slew
Kate Rusby (she then but an infant herself). Luckily Nina chose
to pursue fiddling instead of dragoning. Phew!
