In Memoriam

March 31, 1990* — January 2, 2003

My beloved girl left the body just a few months shy of her 13th birthday. She was diagnosed with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma in late August 2002.

I asked her for one more Christmas, which we spent together, curled up on the couch, watching the basketball game. I'll never forget that day. A few days later, she let me know that she was ready to make her transition. She will always be my brave little girl.

I thank you, Paula for teaching me about love, for loving me and for letting me love you with all my heart.

*We celebrated her birthday on March 31st (same as her dad's - they were both Aries), although her real date of birth is unknown.
