"About Me"

My name is Lesley-Jane,  I am 29 years old, married and have 2 children, my 7year old son Lachlan James and my daughter 4 year old Renee Olive.  I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

I have been living in Queensland for 16 years now although I was born in Rockhampton, my parents moved around often through out my childhood, often spending no more than 3 years in any place.   Shortly after I was born they moved to Western Australia and lived in Perth for 3 years after which they moved again back to Sydney in New South Wales, where my fathers parents live.  They stayed there for about 5 years but moved to a different part of Sydney after 2 years. After a further 3 years in Sydney they again moved across to Western Australia.  We Lived in a town called Mandurah just South of Perth (approximately 2 hours drive.).  We stayed in Mandurah for about 4 years, as my parents owned there own business and my Mum's father lived on the outskirts of town.   After my parents sold there business we moved again, this time, about 1 hour down the road to a small Aboriginal community called Pinjarra. We lived there for another 2 years then moved again to a small country town called Capel, about half way between Bunbury and Busselton on Western Australia's South coast.  This was a nice place to live it was about 10 minutes to the beach and out of the city life. We lived there until early in 1989, when again we moved this time to Bundaberg in Queensland.  I lived in Bundaberg for 12 years.    I finished my High School Certificate in Bundaberg at Bundaberg State High school in 1993 completing Year 12.   I then went to work for the Bundaberg Cab Company on shift work for 3 years, where I was a Switchboard, Radio Operator.  In August of 1996 I went to work for my husband at Plus 1 Electronics, he wasn't my husband at the time but we married shortly after on the 6th of September 1996.     After 4 years in the computer Electronics industry we decided to close our business down and spend sometime with our son and perhaps extend our family alittle.   In January 2000 we moved to Brisbane making a fresh start for ourselves. In March of that year we found out I was pregnant again we didnt know what we were having so we got a lovely surprise in Decmber when Renee was born. It is now August 2005 and we have been in Brisbane now for 5.5 years.   The life we have made for ourselves and our children is great and we are happy with the decisions we have made. I am back in the computer industry again having reregistered our Business name a few years ago, I dont have a shop front any longer but I do my business work Mobile now makes life a little easier and I can set my own hours.

My parents are have decided after 14 years in Bundaberg that they would follow Adrian and I down the Coast they are now living in Ipswich on the outskirts of Brisbane approximately an hour from me they have been out there 3 years now and it doesn't look like they intend to move again in a hurry.  But I guess you never know they might just surprise me. They visit us often and they absolutely adore there granchildren. 

My Brother and I have never really been close he now lives in Brisbane after being transfered from Townsville 3 years ag but for how much longer he is here I dont know He due again to transfer shortly. He is in the Army.

So as you can see I have seen a great deal of Australia.  Most of my Mum's family and friends are spread over a good part of Western Australia so I've seen almost everything from Perth, South to Albany over there and almost all of Dad's family live in Sydney so traveling the Nullabour was worth it just to see my relations.  But there are a few I haven't yet met but that's because they are in other parts of the world and I haven't yet managed to leave Australia. (Not even for a holiday)
