"You," he jokingly accused.
"Me?" I laughed.
Jumping out he grabbed me and carried me onto the fountain. Taking the camera from me he took a picture of us as soon as the water came on. I was laughing and yelling no at the same time as the water touched me. A minute later after a bunch of pictures the water cut off. We stepped off the fountain and I punched him in the shoulder.
"The joke is on you," he told me.
I grabbed my shirt, which was plastered, to my chest. "Look what you did Alexander James McLean, my shirt is sticking to my skin," I laughed.
The laughter fled as he stared straight at my chest. "Its not bothering me." I could feel my face burning. I played it off with a little giggle and shoved A.J. He took my hand and pulled me to him. All laughter aside we stared into each other's eyes. His lips touched mine and I held back no more. I wrapped my arms around his neck and we kissed. It wasn't a Melrose my top lip in between both his lips kiss, it was a tongue touching-lips moving kiss. DAMN, this man could kiss. I could not even describe the technique he used. We got so into kissing that I didn't notice the looks we were getting from the passers-by. We broke apart and I looked down away from him.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"Why?"
"I didn't mean to take advantage of you like that," I explained.
A.J. pulled me into his arms and buried his face in my neck. Nuzzling it he said, "I hope you take advantage of me more often." I smiled and began to nuzzle A.J.'s neck. We rocked back in forth in each other's arms for a bit and then broke up to go sit down at a chair.
From then on we talked for an hour or so about anything and everything, from movies to music, from clothes to food. When I told A.J. my birthday was in a month he hit the roof.
"I think I might fly you out to Florida for your birthday."
I smiled at him and pulled him by the shirt towards me for a kiss. I didn't let him go until the kiss was well over. I sat back down and A.J. sat there with a bemused expression on his face. This was the best day of my life, I thought to myself. A noise sounding like a phone ringing was heard and I saw A.J. pull out a little yellow flip phone.
He said a few one-liners and then hung up the phone. With much regret on his face he told me that he had to leave to get ready for the encore concert.
"That reminds me, here is your ticket and your backstage pass," he said handing it to me.
"Thank you," I said kissing his cheek.
I watched him walk away towards Universal Studios. When he was gone I jumped up and down happily and headed over to my car. I drove home and immediately called Hazel.
"Hey girl," I laughed.
"Hi, I just came back from my date with Nick."
"How did it go?"
"Awwwww! He is so freaking fine. We went on all the rides at Universal Studios."
"And? Where is the juicy gossip?"
"Well after Jurassic Park he told me I looked pretty wet and he kissed me."
"What!"
"He did, no lie. It was so soft and sweet."
"Reminds me of my day," I said.
"You kissed A.J.! Tell me now," she ordered.
"Well it involves water, lips and a lot of tongue."
Thirty minutes later Shannah, Hazel, Dominique, Jessica, and I were on the phone discussing our dates.
"Did you guys get your tickets?" I asked.
"Hell yeah, Kevin almost forgot after kissing me," Dominique said.
The conversation went on and on like that until 6:30 when we all got off to get ready for the show. Tonight was going to be even bomber than last night, I thought to myself. I pulled a low rise jeans out of my closet and a Gap baby tee with a matching hat. At 7 I was ready to go and waiting for Shannah to get dropped off. When she finally arrived we hauled ass to get there in time. It was just my luck that the backstage pass let us park in the back by their bus. I parked and we ran into the theater as fast as we could. We all took up part of a row as we waited for the concert to begin. When they all came out we each had eyes only for our guys.
