Nick Carter jumped out of the tour bus with a burst of energy. Finally, him and the guys were going to have a little free time on their hands. They had arrived in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania one day before their big concert. The guys had decided that they were going to explore the town.
"Brian hurry up. I want to get a move on it." Nick yelled back into the bus.
Brian hopped down from the stairs of the bus with a mischievous grin on his adorable face. Nick just gave him one of those looks. "What did you do now?"
Brian shrugged. "Why do you guys think that I'm always up to something?"
"Because you usually are up to something." Nick laughed.
Brian waved his hands in the air. "Let's just get out of here Frack."
"What about Howie, AJ, and Kev?"
"They said that they were going to go catch a movie or something. They already left." Brian slung his arm around Nick's shoulders. "So, it's just me and you pal."
Brian and Nick we're walking down the busy streets of downtown Wilkes-Barre. They would stop to sign the occasional autograph for a fan that had spotted them hidden behind their dark sunglasses. As they walked on Nick caught a glimpse of the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. He stopped right in the middle of the sidewalk, causing the people behind him to bump into him.
"What's wrong?" Brian asked as he popped a red skittle into his mouth.
Nick went to the edge of the sidewalk and craned his neck to see if he could see the girl. "Man, I just saw this amazing girl."
Brian patted Nick on the back. "Bro, you don't got time for girls."
Nick turned to face Brian. "You have time for Abby, don't you?"
Brian smiled and shrugged. "I can. I'm older and wiser."
"Yeah, older by 5 years." Nick said sarcasticly.
"Listen," Brian popped another skittle into his mouth. "Me and Abby have been together since before we made it big. And I love her to much to break it off because of the group and touring. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't give up the group or touring for anything but I wouldn't give her up either."
"But Brian," Nick smiled. "I noticed that girl and something just happened inside me."
(As Nick and Brian discuss the topic the mystery girl wanders farther and farther away into the crowds of people.)
Nick realizes that he had lost sight of the girl. "Brian, let's follow her."
Brian checked his watch. "We don't have time man. We got to get back to the bus to meet up with the guys."
Nick begins to pull Brian down the sidewalk by his arm. "You're coming with me or I'm going myself. I've got to meet her."
Brian decided that it wouldn't hurt to make the other guys wait a little bit since they were going to get a surprise when they went into the bus.
Nick began to walk faster and faster until he broke out in a run in the direction that the girl was headed. Brian ran after him. Nick pushed through the crowds of people until he realized she was gone.
"I lost her." He looked down at the ground. "Now I'll never know who she is."
