"How 'bout this dress... I think you'd look really hot in it..." AJ said holding out a black, slinky, strapless, almost see-through dress. Misty turned around and gasped once she saw what he was holding.
"What the fuck are you on boy!?! You expect me to where that... which I might add is... nothing!" She smacked his arm.
"Hey!" he exclaimed rubbing his arm where she had hit him. "I just thought you would... uh look great in it..."
"Damn, calm your hormones!" Misty said with a laugh. AJ put on a puppy dog face. "I am not falling for that look anymore! I still remember the last time you gave me that face! I ended up in a pile of mud with you and your idiotic friends laughing at me!"
AJ laughed. "I remember that! Haha, we wanted to make mud pies and I wanted you to help. You came over, then tripped and fell right into the mud! That was hilarious!!" he exclaimed continuing to laugh his head off. Misty smacked him again and gave him her best pouty mad look. "Awww, Misty... I'm sorry." He tried to be as sincere as possible but he couldn't help but grin widely.
"Aw, you're such a jerk!" Misty exclaimed while trying to stay mad but she soon smiled when AJ began tickling her and gave her a hug. She would never be able to resist him and his charm.
"I knew you couldn't stay mad at me for long. C'mon, you've already bought the entire store! Let's go get something for dinner. I'm starving!" he said taking her hand grabbing her shopping bags with the other.
They dropped the bags off in AJ's car and then headed to the food court. Once they neared the food court, AJ pulled his hat down lower and his jacket up a little in order to stay incognito. They order McDonalds and found a table far from the crowd. Misty and AJ ate quickly because they were supposed to meet the guys at the hotel. They finally finished and headed towards the car.
AJ sighed. "Finally one shopping trip when I didn't get..." AJ was interrupted by a shriek followed by one girl, then two, then a whole group of girls running toward him. "Mobbed!!! Ruuuuuuuuunn!!!" AJ yelled as he grabbed Misty's hand. They ran to the exit as quickly as they could because the girls were closing in on them. They frantically ran to the car and jumped in and started the car. They peeled out of the parking lot as fast as they could. Misty turned around and saw a couple of girls still chasing them as they reached the mall exit. She faced the front again and sighed.
"Damn, so this is what you have to deal with?" she asked curiously as she breathed a sigh of relief because they had made it safely out.
"Take that and times it by a million and then you have a typical day in the life of a Backstreet Boy!" AJ said with a laugh.
"How do you put up with this?" she asked.
"I just think of the fans and the music we make. I know we've made a lot of people happy and that's the most satisfying thing. Just to see one of them smile or sing the lyrics during a concert... it's like my dream enfolding right in front of my eyes. It's amazing," he replied.
*AJ's hotel room*
"Ya know, you really didn't have to buy all these things for me Alex," Misty said while trying to help AJ lug all her bags into the room.
"Haven't we been over this already? Misty, I wanted to buy these clothes and stuff for you alright? Let's just say these are my presents to compensate for the last 12 years worth of birthdays," he said dropping some bags on the floor.
"Yea I know, but I still feel guilty for using up so much of your money."
"Hey, don't worry 'bout money! I'm loaded! If you're a Backstreet Boy, you've gotta be rich!" AJ joked.
"Modest, aren't we?" Misty kidded and smiled.
"Always," AJ replied with a sly grin.
"Hey AJ, hey Misty! Do you guys wanna go clubbing tonight? I'm in the mood to dance!" Howie came into the room from no where and did a little dance.
"Yo... wait wait wait! Where the hell did you come from?" AJ asked a little surprised.
"I just found our adjoining door. It's right there. Sorry I didn't knock. Anyway, do you guys wanna join me? The others are coming too," Howie said.
"How 'bout it M?" AJ asked.
"I uhm dunno..."
"Oh c'mon Misty, it'll be fun. Then we could all get to know each other better," Howie said.
"Uhm..." Misty stalled. She hadn't been to a real club before. It had always been bars. She hardly ever danced before except in the confines of her own room. AJ gave her a puppy dog look and she knew she couldn't resist. "Ok, ok! I'll go, but I've gotta warn you. I can't dance very well."
"That's alright. You've got the Backstreet Boys to teach you a thing or two on how to dance!" Howie said, glad Misty had decided to come.
"What time are we leaving?"
"Soon, maybe at like 10:30. We're going to that club *Body Rockin'* tonight," Howie informed them.
"Thats cool," AJ said and did a little dance. "I'm ready to dance!"
"I'll see you guys at 10:30," Howie said and left through the adjoining door.
"Well now, what am I going to wear?" Misty asked herself out loud as she rummaged through the shopping bags. "Oh God there's nothing to wear!"
"Damn girl, calm down! We JUST went shopping! You've got a wardrobe to last you a couple of years here," AJ laughed, watching Misty throw clothes onto the bed.
"What kinda clothes do you wear to a club?" Misty asked still searching for something to wear. AJ browsed through the strewn clothes for an outfit.
"Here, how about this?" AJ asked as he held out a tank top and skirt.
"Uh sure I'll try that," Misty replied as she took the clothes from him. She grabbed a couple more outfits and went into the bathroom to get ready and change. AJ quickly changed into a kelly green polo shirt and baggy jeans. A few minutes later the guys came.
"Hey are you ready?" Kevin asked.
"No, Misty is still in their changing and doing all that crap girls do," AJ said pointing to the bathroom.
"I heard that Alex," Misty said through the bathroom door. The guys laughed.
"How about we meet you downstairs," AJ suggested.
"Alright, I'll be done soon."
"Yea right," AJ said.
"I heard that too!" Misty giggled. The guys left.
