"C'mon guys, move it! Misty told me she was going to go swimming for awhile, so she's in the pool now. We've gotta hurry before she notices we've gone somewhere. Now let's move!" AJ hustled them towards the front doors of the hotel. It was a few weeks after AJ and Misty had found each other. They all had grown close and acted like old friends.
"Hey, where are all y'all going?" Misty asked looking up from her magazine to see all five guys scurrying towards the doors. They all turned and stopped dead in their tracks, nearly tripping over each other.
"Oh... uh... Misty..." Kevin stuttered.
"Misty... uhm... hi..." Brian spit out.
"I, uh thought you were going to the pool?" Howie asked.
"Yea, I was but then they said they were cleaning it or something so I just decided to come down here to keep myself busy."
"Ah, so that's why you're down here," Nick reasoned.
"Uh, yea that's right Nick... so where are you guys headed to?" Misty asked curiously.
"We, uh... uhm, we're uh..." Brian stammered. AJ smacked him on the head and gave him a look.
"Uh, that's it Rok, you can spit out ya know?" Misty giggled.
"What he's TRYING to say," AJ began giving Brian another evil look, "is that we're going to a uh meeting. A business meeting."
"Ooo, could I come? I've never been to one of those."
"NO!" they all said in unison.
"We mean it's going to be so boring for you. All those executives do is drone on about our finances and crap. It really wouldn't interest you," Kevin covered up.
"Uhm alright if you say so," Misty said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Well, would ya look at the time," Nick chimed in while looking at his imaginary watch. "We better get going or else we'll miss the meeting!"
"Uh yea, we'll see ya after lunch M!" Bone said. They waved goodbye and rushed out. Misty stared at the door. By the way they were acting, she knew something was up.
*Outside the Hotel*
"Damn, that was close man!" Howie exclaimed once they reached outside.
"Yea," they all agreed.
"Do ya think she's suspicious?" AJ asked.
"Probably... now we've gotta be more careful cuz if she finds out, it'll blow everything!" Brian exclaimed.
"Ok, we better hurry," AJ said. "Rok, Frack, you guys take this list and call everyone and see if they're free. Kevin and D, buy some decorations and food. I'll go and see if the house will be ready and I'll call Mark. He can help us. I guess that's all we can do for now. I'll meet y'all at the house at 11. So that'll give us about 3 hours."
"Alright! C'mon Nick, let's get ready to... RUMBLE!!" Rok exclaimed and they hailed a taxi. AJ, Kev, and D also got a taxi and were off.
*Da Backstreet House later that afternoon*
"Did you call everyone?" Bone asked as soon as Nick and Brian entered the house.
"Yup," Nick answered.
"Basically everyone can come Friday night," Brian said.
"Good! This house will be full then. Misty will love this."
"Whoa they did a great job with this place," Howie commented as he and Kevin came into the living room.
All five guys had decided to buy this house in Tampa for them to stay in after their *Into the Millennium* tour was over. They wanted to take a couple of months off to rest and start working on the next album. It was an abandoned mansion right on the beach overlooking the ocean. Once Nick saw the mansion he knew this would be the perfect place to live because of his deep passion for the open sea. He convinced the guys that this was the house they should live in. When the group saw the house, they fell in love with it. AJ, with the overactive imagination, immediately called redecorators and they got together to plan what the mansion would look like. The guys collaborated ideas and sent the redecorators to work while they were in the last month of the tour. This was the first time they had all seen the newly redone house.
"I know, isn't it cool?" AJ asked, obviously proud of his creation. You could definitely sense AJ's style in the living room. There was a furry cow-print couch, black and white striped wallpaper, red suede bean bag chairs, many lava lamps, and tons more odds and ends.
"A little much?" Nick asked with a smirk as he got up and pointed to the wallpaper. "It's making me dizzy looking at it!"
"Shut up Frack!" AJ exclaimed. "Anyway, D, did you get decorations?"
"Yup, we left them in the front hall," Howie answered.
"How 'bout the food and drinks and stuff?"
"I already put them in the kitchen. And, I thought we agreed NOT to have furry cow-printed chairs in there!" Kevin scolded.
"Hey hey! I personally like those... and they go with the couch," AJ defended and patted the couch he was sitting on.
"The country style kitchen set seemed better," Kevin argued.
"I thought the basketball court in the kitchen was an even better idea," Brian chimed in.
"Yea. It's better than those damn kitchen sets," Nick said.
"A stupid bball court?" Kevin asked. "Courts are for outside not in the kitchen!"
"Oh, yea? Who gives a sh..." Nick started.
"Yo! Quit it you guys! Weren't we talking about the party? Not some damn kitchen shit," Howie interrupted.
"Sorry," they said sheepishly.
*Back at the Hotel*
Misty sighed. *I wonder where they are...* she thought as she mindlessly flipped through the channels. A few minutes later, AJ burst into his room. Misty looked up from the TV.
"Hey sweetie," AJ said and leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. "How was your day so far?" They all trouped in and took a seat on the bed and on the couch.
"It was ok. Went for a little swim and then did a little window shopping downtown. Nothing much," Misty replied and sighed. AJ sat down next to her on the bed. They all gave each other looks.
"Sounds fun," Howie said.
"Yea sure," she replied bluntly. They looked at each other again.
"So how was your meeting?"
"Meeting...?" Nick asked, seemingly confused. Brian smacked him on the head.
"Yea, our meeting," Brian said smiling and trying to cover up Nick's slip up. Misty gave them a weird look.
"It was boring like we told you," Kevin said.
"Oh," Misty said.
"Well, uh, we had an idea. I'm pretty sure you'll like it," Bone said.
Misty perked up and asked, "What, what?" in a child like voice as she put her hands on AJ's arm. They all smiled.
"Do you wanna go to the beach?" he asked.
"The beach? Really? I haven't been there since I was four! Could we really go?" she asked excitedly.
"Sure M... get ready and we'll go," AJ said with a smile. Misty got up and kissed AJ on the cheek. She then grabbed her bag and went to look for her bathing suit.
"I told you that was a good idea," Nick said as they gathered near the door.
"You finally thought of something smart," AJ said with a smirk.
"Ha ha funny," Nick retorted.
"Anyway, we'll meet you downstairs in five," AJ said and closed the door behind them.
