Brian walked back out to the lobby, smiling to himself when he heard Kevin's voice.
"I hope you're going to tell me you got her to take the case again," he said.
Brian looked up at him, but had the most sullen look on his face. He shook his head, "I'm really sorry Kev..."
Kevin jumped up, "What?! I'll give you a five-second head start before I kill you!"
Brian put up his hands, "Calm down! I was kidding!" He laughed.
Kevin sat back down, "So everything's fine?"
"Yep, but you know, she looked so damn familiar."
Kevin nodded, "I thought I was the only one to notice. I can't place her, but I feel like I've seen her before."
Brian shook his head, "But it's different for me. I feel like I've known the woman forever. I felt this connection between the two of us, you know?" He asked and Kevin laughed, "Ok, you don't know. I swear though, I feel like we've...been through something. I don't know what."
A.J. laughed, "Maybe you slept with her, B."
He narrowed his eyes, "Only you A.J. Only you."

She looked at the man in her doorway. He looked different, he didn't have long brown hair anymore, his hair was sort of curly and short. He was clean shaven and had on a pair of khakis with a blue shirt. He looked like a gentleman, but she was convinced he was the same person on the inside. Cait stood up from her desk and backed up, "W-What are you doing here?" She asked frantically.
"Caitlyn, honey, calm down," the man said, closing the door behind him.
"How did you get in here? How did you get past security? Why are you here? Please leave," she said in one breath.
"Don't be scared of me honey. I'm not going to do anything to you," he said progressing towards her.
She backed up against the wall, "If you touch me, I'll scream," she warned.
"Why?"
"Hmm, I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're supposed to be in jail! Maybe, just maybe, Seth."
He smiled, "Nope, I'm a free man. Got out for good behavior. Baby don't be so tense, you act like I'm going to hurt you."
"Gee, I wonder why!" She replied sarcastically.
"Don't get smart with me!" He yelled, then cursed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm better now, I had counseling."
She shook her head, "I don't believe you."
"Well, why else do you think they let me out? I mean I wasn't sitting in there doing nothing. That was the longest year of my life and it gave me time to do thinking, a lot of thinking. I was thinking I love Caitlyn and I have to find a way to prove it to her. So she'll take me back. Well, here I am. A changed man. I'm not lying to you Cait, I've changed. I did really good in counseling, I haven't lost my temper. I can keep myself under control," he said.
She sighed. 'Why is he doing this to me?' she asked herself. "Ok, then what about just now? You just yelled at me."
He waved his hand, "Minor set back. You see I didn't do anything, but yell."
"If you think you can just waltz in here and expect me to take you back, then you're wrong! It's been a year, Seth! Did you not expect me to move on?"
She saw his expression change, but he didn't do anything. He just looked down and took a few breaths. He finally looked at her, "Is that who Brian is?"
"No," she shook her head, "He's my client."
"The way you said his name, he didn't seem to be just a client," he said bitterly.
"Even if he was more than a client, which he isn't, why would it matter to you? We're through, when you put me in the hospital we were over. I didn't have the courage to say it then so I'm doing it now. We're over."
He smiled evilly, "Oh we're not over Caitlyn and you know why," he said before leaving her office.
She composed herself before running out the door and down the hall. She stopped in front of her secretary's desk, "Sheryl! Why did you let him in there!" She yelled angrily at the young woman.
She looked at her, confused. "Ms. Carson, what are you talking about?"
"What am I talking about? I'm talking about the man you just let through here. I told you not to let anyone back to my office."
"What man? I swear I didn't let anyone back, I was here the whole time. Nobody even came in except for Mr. Littrell, other than no one else was here."
Cait pinched the bridge of her nose, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, Ms. Carson."
"So you did not just see a man come through here with curly brown hair? He had on, um, a blue polo shirt with khakis. You did not see anyone who fit that description?"
"No," she shook her head.
"Ok from now on, you keep a security guard at every door. No one and I mean no one is to get through that door unless their name is in my appointment book. No one!" She said. 'How the hell did he get in here?' she asked herself.
