I was bound in sin and filled with shame, and in my hour of darkness he came.
Ch.) Heaven's Light shine down on me.
Help me see the things I've never seen.
Help me walk from day to day, when darkness tries to hide your face.
V.2) A heavy load I carried.
I was burdened down by sin.
But he withdrew my transgressions and he made them his own.
V.3) In my Father's house of light, love and mercy shines on me.
I am free from sin and filled with love.
I've received his blessings from above.
