"White Dove" from Liverpool/Yorkshire
Colour: Whitish dotted
Size: 8.6mm diameter x 3.8 thick. 260mg.
Users' verdict: "Very impressed with the effect."
Active ingredients: 130mg MDMA

"White Clover" from Yorkshire.
Colour: White/beige dotted
Size: 8mm diameter x 4.2 thick. 220 mg.
Users' verdict: "Hardly any effect, but cheap". [7 pounds]
Active ingredients: 20mg caffeine.

"Green Clover" or "Shamrock". Same stamp as "White Clover".
Colour: Green
Size: 8.9mm diameter x 3.8 thick.
Users' verdict: "Feeling similar to Acid. Unsure of what was happening and
very difficult to get into. However, once dancing and over the sort of
paranoid feeling, the effect is very good. Some users experienced tripping
for hours."
Active ingredients: None.

"Strawberry", a large tablet with strawberry colour and strawberry smell
Size: 12.6mm diameter x 4.9 thick. 660 mg.
Users' verdict: "A very good high is reached very quickly - a kind of
floating feeling making you unsure of your surroundings as though you are
in a totally different planet or on a different dimension. You go up very
quickly and come down quite soon after, so its very tempting to take more
to reach the original buzz."
Active ingredients: Ketamine, Ephedrine, Selegiline

"White Dove" from London
Colour: Whitish dotted
Size: 8.6mm diameter x 3.8 thick. 270mg.
Users' verdict: "Produces a good effect."
Active ingredients: 130 mg MDMA

"Sitting Duck"
Size: 9mm diameter x 5 thick.
Users' verdict: "Dodgy."
Active ingredients: Ketamine, Ephedrine, Selegiline.

I have had some problems with this batch which were tested while I was away, which has resulted in there being no photographs or dimensions. I am still hoping that photographs will be found, if so I will re-post them with the results.

Please note: you cannot determine the contents of any one pill by comparison to the known contents of another similar one. The lesson to learn is that the contents vary widely. Although the most desired dose is about 120mg MDMA, all of the above would produce an effect that would be considered satisfactory by most users except the Large Dove and the Dollar. I have tried MBDB and found it relaxing and made it easy to let go, but lacked the euphoric feelings of MDMA.

Comment: This set of results is a good example of similar looking pills having different contents: contents vary from batch to batch, so you cannot judge by apppearance with certainty. Also an example of the effects being influenced by expectations.

Testing - Where to get your Ecstasy pills tested

There are only 3 places in the world that I know of where Ecstasy the public can have Ecstasy samples tested:

Drug testing at clubs in Holland:

Pills are tested at some events for a fee. However, the result is normally given by comparing to a known pill tested in the Jellinek lab. If the pill is not recognised, then a Marquis test may be used, but see below.

Testing kit:

A drug testing kit is marketed by British Drug Houses and Merck (product code 321761, price about $50). This consists of 40 ampoules of Marquis; to use it you break off the neck of an ampoule and drop in a tiny bit of the drug.

The instructions say that within a minute the Marquis turns violet with opiates and �yellow/orange/brown¹ with amphetamines and MDMA-type drugs.

Absence of colour indicates none of these drugs are present, and this is the purpose of the kit ­ as a quick way to check whether a suspect tablet does not contain an illicit drug.

Testing people for previous drug use:

Ecstasy can normally be detected in urine up to two days after use. However, this depends on how much has been taken and what tests are used. Some commonly used tests do not distinguish between MDMA and amphetamine.
