This is Nick Carter. The youngest member of the Backstreet Boys. From the beginning Nick's parents could tell that their blond-haired, blue eyed, baby boy was a "firecracker". Even as a toddler, "Little Nicky" was a born entertainer. He was regularly caught bustin' a move in his parents' lounge, called the Yankee Rebel. When Nick was still small he would stand on a stump in his back yard singing to the grass. But that was when his family still lived in New York. When Nick was almost six his parents decided to move to sunny Florida, where they would start a new business. In the fourth grade Nick landed the leading roll in the Phantom of the Opera. He entered a lot of talent shows, and was soon the featured vocalist at the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's pre-game shows. This NFL gig lasted two years. When Nick was twelve, he won the 1992 New Original Amateur Hour TV show. Nick kept himself busy by performing and auditioning at local Tampa and Orlando events, and while doing so made friends with two older guys that he kept running into at gigs; A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough. Thus was the beginning of the BSB! |
