Eighteenyear-old Nick Carter, twenty year-old A.J. McLean, twenty-three year-old Brian Littrell, twenty-four year-old Howie Durough, and twehty-five year-old Kevin Richardson are the Backstreet Boys. Although they formed in Orlando, Florida, they have topped charts and conquered the music business all over the world; in Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and Canada. Now they are back conquering America.
It started with a dream that all of them shared of becoming singers. The future members of the BSB had been hanging out in the same entertainment circless for sometime. Nick, Howie, and A.J. met at the same acting audition, and they spent the hours before their turns harmonizing. Kevin's friend told him about 'those guys who harmonize' and when he met up with them at a reply to auditions, they clicked. But they still felt that they needed another voice to add the finall touches to their harmony, and that is when Kevin called his cousin all the way in Kentucky, pulling him out of class to tell him about the auditions. Brian found himself on a plane to Orlando the very next day.
Since then, the boys have grown closer and formed strong bonds with each other. Brian moved to Florida to share an apartment with Howie and Kevin, but since has moved into an apartment with A.J. while Nick still lives with his parents.
The boys auditioned everywhere they could, singing in foyers, just to be heard. Donna Wright finally got them signed by "JIVE" records' David McPherson, by calling him up during a performance and letting him hear the crowds reaction to the boys. McPherson signed them immediately!
And that was the beginning of the Backstreet Boys
