������� The
Mountain Home, Arkansas High School Band consists of over 120 students from grades ten
through twelve. Rated as one of the top five bands in Arkansas, residents of Mountain Home
and surrounding areas have come to recognize the MHHS band for it's excellence. In the
1997-98 marching season, the band has left every marching contest with no lower then
second place in the finals. At the final contest of the season, The Northwest Arkansas
Marching Classic, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, the band brought home the first place grand
champion trophy.� During the 1998-99 marching season, the MHHS band has done
something that no other band has done before by bringing home the first place, Grand
Champion trophy from the Northwest Marching Classic, in Siloam Springs for the second year
in a row.
������� The
director of the MHHS band is Mr. Robert Nelson.
�� With the help of Mr. Bill Maxwell
(Junior High band director) and Ms. Michele Goode
(Middle School band director), they have created a proud, disciplined, and hardworking
band.� Because of this, excellence will always remain for the Mountain Home High
School Band.
