"This is the room I share with Rok." Nick motioned around the pigsty that he had just reffered to as a room.
"It's..uh..charming" Riah muttered, slightly amused at the fact that two grown men could not keep a hotel room tidy in any way, shape, or form. Brian and Jay had left them an hour ago to be, as they put it, 'any where you two are not.' After that Nick and Riah had opted to go back to the hotel so that she could meet the other guys. Problem was thet on the way someone drove through a puddle Riah had been walking 2 feet away from, caking her thoroughly in mud in the process. Nick had offered to let her use the shower in his hotel room.
"And here's the bathroom." Nick motioned "Use anything you want to" *including me* was the thought that followed.
"Thank-you so much" Riah grinned at him appreciativley.
"My pleasure, Mariah."
"Just Riah, please." she told him.
"Riah" he muttered, barely audibly, thinking *that is such a beautiful name*. Riah walked into the bathroom and surveyed, assessing the number of towels and other things the was going to need. She turned to him, thanked him once more, shut the door, and started the shower. She then shed her grimy clothes and stepped under the hot spray. She didn't even know the door had opened until someone spoke to her.
"Riah?" She jumped at Nick's voice.
"Yes?" She replied, regaining her composure.
"I'm just gonna grab your clothes and get them cleaned. K?"
"Sounds great" *Anything you could suggest would* she finished her thought in her mind only. She settled back into her former relaxed state.
Nick grabbed her clothes and started out of the bathroom. He stopped abruptly, quietly put the pile in his arms on the floor outside the bathroom door, and returned. Silently Nick padded across the floor and stopped in front of the shower curtain debating the idea flowing through his mind. Forgetting every doubt he had he placed his hand on the edge of the curtain, after all, it was only fair right? He poked his head around the curtain. He was only able to catch a quick glimpse before he heard the hotel room door swinging open but the image he got in that instant burned itself vividly on his synapses.
"Yo, Frack?" He heard and rushed out of the bathroom before he was seen.
"Over here, Frick" He said to Brian while picking the pile of clothes up off the floor.
"Have you seen the keys to the rental?"Brian drawled.
"Doesn't Kev have 'em?" Nick replied while shoving the bundle consisting of Riah's clothes into Brian's arms. "And when you find them find a way to get these clean"
Brian looked at the pile questioningly but rather than protesting he nodded in agreement.
"Should I ask?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"No." Nick grinned.
Brian shook his head and exited the room wordlessly in search of the keys to the rental car. Nick heard the bathroom door open and turned to see Riah emerge wearing nothing but a towel wraped around her torso. Nick went totally blank. He had no idea what to say to her other than
"Nice outfit"
"You expected me to be naked maybe?" she shot him a meaningful glance and continued "Do you have a bathrobe around here?"
"Uh... yeah...right there." Nick motioned to the chair around the corner.
Riah grabbed it, thanked him once more, and went around the corner. She returned a moment later wearing the robe and discarded the towel on the pile of miscellaneous clothes that was in the corner. She breezed by Nick to the playstation and turned it on. Sitting on the bed she began playing while waiting for him to say something.
Nick however was preoccupied with the thought of what he knew was under that robe and that she knew what was under his own clothes
Riah turned to him, expecting to find him looking at her with the slightly amused, playful glimmer he usually had in his eyes. What she saw was entirley different. She found him staring at her with an indescribable intensity, almost darkness. She knew what he was thinking about. Her. It caused her to start having the same thoughts. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it might stop altogether. She turned away for a moment.
Nick moved to sit beside her on the bed.
"I love this game." He stated
She looked at him again and the overwhelming desire he'd obviously been feeling was gone, replaced again by the lightness she was accustomed to
"Me too" She muttered, disappointed
