What is MOD?? I'm sure lots of you will have the thought in your first journey here. Explaining what IS MOD is not as hard as Statistic & Probability but may not be as simple as Digital Electronic (really??.. *grin*).. MOD is actually a module file (like the MIDI format), except that it embed all the samples in the module itself (that's why most modules takes huge spaces!!). MIDI songs play high quality-satisfying sound if you have a wavetable synthesizer soundcard, while with MOD songs..., you'll hear the songs exactly the same with any soundcard. Well..susah betui ah nak terang.. Emm..n'way, if you still wanna know more about this MOD stuff.. simply email me..there's a lot of things I'd want to share with you.. Now, I shall continue with my tracking history..yikess...boringgg! I started tracking in early '98, after I finished my SPM (O-level equiv). My first tracking software is Scream Tracker 3, an excellent tracker for newbies! I spent long hours experimenting with the interfaces, effects and some good mods bundled in PC-Shopper CD-ROM (can't remember which edition). But now I use Impulse Tracker!! My old MODs were in .s3m format. I've been upgrading my old mods to the new format, .it. And I've compressed most of them for faster loading at the price of samples quality.
