I was fourteen years old, and I thought he was the
coolest ting I'd ever seen ( still do). The whole
band blew me away! Since you didn't know what
anyone of them looked like without makeup
you knew that they could be anybody. You could
be at the grocery and be standing right next
to one of them and not know it. You could go
get some grease paints, put on your Kiss
makeup, play the Alive album ( or any other album,
for that matter ) and pretend to be
Kiss. You were on the road, touring the U.S.,
and in your mind it worked because you looked
like Kiss, you could be Kiss. In my case, it
was that I could be Gene Simmons, my Idol.
I started putting on Demon makeup two days after
I discovered it.I copied it from some
Cream Magazine photos a friend had. These days
I am better at it, and I still do it every
Halloween, New Years Eve costume parties at my
house ( or somewhere else ) and to Kiss
shows. My costume is hand built and I did it
myself, plans and all. These next two pics
are me in makeup and costume ( costume was not
finished ) on Halloween:
As you can see I take Halloween seriously, and the
kids in my neighborhood know it, Theylike to come to my place. I do scare
about as many as I don't, but I like it either way.I will be posting some
new pics of me and
gene and some of my friends as I get them. Probably
on a separate photo page, so check back for updates.
HAVE YOU EVER
SEEN A KISS SHOW?
Well, have you?
If not, you have truly missed out. Kiss is the greatest show on earth.
If you have seen
Kiss without
make up, while you have still seen a great show, it cannot compare with
the original
Kiss and make
up show. Those of you have seen it know what I mean.
A Kiss concert
is an extraviganza. You will see larger than life characters, The Space
Ace, The Cat,
The Starchild,
and Most impressive of the four, The Demon ( aka: The Lord Of The Wastelands,
The God Of
Thunder ). Yes, I am talking about none other than Lord (Gene)Simmons,
Hero and Idol
to me, a humble
servant and admirer. You will see rockets fire from guitars, amazing pyrotechnics,
flame projectors,
an elevating drum stage, you will see The Demon spit blood, breath fire.fly
above
the stage
and there are other bits and pieces you just gotta see to believe. If you
get the opportunity,
I suggest
tht you invest in a ticket and go.
THE GOD OF THUNDER
LIVES!
I believe Gene
Simmons to be a great bass player. His style is his own, and I believe
it to be
incomparable
during the Demon Days of his career. I am jumping up and down with excitement
since the
reapplying of the old persona. Gene could teach a few bass players out
there a
thing or two
( and he already has, no doubt ). Gene started playing bass when he was
sixteen,
because every
one else was playing guitar, and we all know that Gene is not one to do
the
same thing
as everyone else. Gene plays with a pick instead of his fingers and this
is what
enables him
to produce the sound I love so much. You can hear the bass notes as well
as feel
them. When
you hear it live, the sound is in your guts, rumbling and vibrating as
well as in
your ears.
I don't know, but I have a hunch that this bass punch turns on alot of
women
that might
be in its path ( all that vibrating inside your guts ), and judging from
Genes
hefty polaroid
collection, I tend to think I'm right. You need to be in the audience,
listening
to the bass
solo before the song God Of Thunder begins as he brings up the blood and
lets it drool
down his chin. The power of the cords he rips feels as though it could
make your insides
bleed ( I
mean that in a good way, so don't panic). The expressions on his face make
you know
that he is
bringing these notes up from the very bottom, pushing that blood out, and
finally causing
it to erupt
out in a final, explosive blast all over himself. No one else can lay claim
to the title
GOD OF THUNDER
in the world of bass. This is my belief.
LET ME KNOW WHAT
YOU THOUGHT OF MY PAGE:
I want to know
what you liked or didn't like on this site. Any ideas are welcome. Tell
me
what you would
like to see and I will try to get it for you. This is mostly a page dedicated
to Gene Simmons
and Kiss, and it will remain under construction. I will get updates posted
as I can,
and I promise to try and keep this site original and fresh. Keep in mind
that
this is a
fan page set up by a Gene Simmons fanatic, so it is by me and filled with
him
and some other
kiss stuff. My links will be expanding also, as I have more than one site,
but this is
my main one. Thanks for checking it out, it will only get better.
