GATEWAYS TO THE UNDERWORLD

        A FEW INTERESTING GENE BITS:

Genes main influence would have to have been the Beatles.Besides being impressed musically,
he liked the kind of "attention" that female audience members gave the band.

Gene wrote his first song when he was 14. I do not know the title.

Gene was a teacher ( no shit,really ). He taught 6th grade at P.S. 75 in Spanish Harlem, NYC.He didn't like it.

Gene was in a few other bands before co-founding KISS. Here are the titles of those bands:

• The Long Island Sounds.
• Bullfrog Bheer
• Cathedral    ( sounds wicked, dosen't it.)
• Wicked Lester   ( with Paul Stanley )

I don't Know what any of these sound like.
Gene met Paul Stanley through a mutual friend/ guitarist. He ( Gene) had believed himself
the only person who wrote songs ( aside from Lennon & Mc Cartney, Jagger& Richards, and the
like). He was very impressed with Paul's work.

Gene has also been in several movies. Here they are:

• Runaway
• Wanted, Dead Or Alive
• Trick Or Treat
• Never Too Young To Die
• Red Surf   ( my personal favorite)
• Model By Day
Gene can speak Hebrew, Hungarian, German and a little Japanese.

Gene has an impressive stature at 6' 2" and 190 lbs..

Genes mother is a survivor of the Nazi consentration camps.

Gene was born in Haifa, Isreal. He was brought to America when he was 9 by his mother,
Florence.

Gene has a polaroid collection of the woman he has been with while on tour through the
years. I have no exact count, but it is rumored to number in the thousands.

Gene loves to wear his makeup and it was said by Peter Criss in an interview that Gene will
do anything if he gets to wear his makeup.

Gene has had a long time relationship with actress/model Shannon Tweed ( I don't see how
he could have resisted her ). They are not Married, but have been together since 1984 or 85
and have two children together.

Gene loves COOKIES!!

Gene has discovered many bands, Van Halen being my favorite discovery of his.

Gene has produced many albums for other bands. I will try to get a list of them for all of
you enthusiasts.

Gene Simmons tongue is said to be 7 inches long ( I would have to believe this estimate).

Genes birthday is August 25, 1949, Happy birthday, dude!!

Gene decided to play BASS because everyone else was playing guitar. I am glad as he is
a great bassist.

Gene is a comic book lover. I am not sure what his favorite comic is, but I believe he likes
Spiderman and The Xmen. If you know his favorite, let me know and I will post it.

Gene also loves Horror movies, this is where his Demon persona comes from. He also enjoys
classic films.
