Régent Archambault studied
electric and acoustic bass at Cégep de Joliette
and Université de Montréal. He is
a member of the internationally renowned
group,
La Bottine Souriante, winner
of four FELIX awards, two
JUNO
nominations (1997, 1995), and the recipient of
two JUNO awards (1992, 1989).
Not only has Régent recorded five disks
with La Bottine Souriante, he has
also played on the CD's entitled La vache en
Alaska by Carmen Campagne
and Suite for Miles by Roland Langlois.
Violin player, Éric Favreau,
is from a family of traditional musicians. He earned
a degree in Ethnology from Laval University. Éric's
fiddle playing has taken him
throughout Québec, across Canada, to England,
Bulgaria, Poland, Denmark,
France and to many parts of the United States.
His recording credits include a
solo album, Musique traditionnelle (1992),
a recording with the group Entourloupe (1997) and a new release
with fiddler Mario Landry,
Reel à
deux (1998).
Pianist, Denis Fréchette studied
music at the Université de Montréal. He
taught jazz piano at the Cégep de Joliette
(1984-1997). he has been a member
of the internationally acclaimed group, La
Bottine Souriante.
Tess felt it was important to invite
Len
LeBlanc in on this recording. Not
only is he her dad, but he has a tremendous voice
and is a magician with
vocal harmonies. Len has sung with several Moncton
choirs:

Michaud and la Chorale de l'Université
de Moncton.
Paul Marchand acquired a rich musical
tradition from exceptional traditional singers and musicians. After a period
of classical training, he concentrated on guitar accompaniment and quickly
became one of Quebec's finest guitarists.
Paul has performed with a variety of ensembles,
such as Manigance and Ojnab
in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, the Northwest
Territories, France, Ireland and the United States. He also participated
in shows and recordings for
Angèle Arsenault's
Bonjour
Madame Bolduc. He now performs with the
band Entourloupe.
Multi-instrumentalist, Liette Remon
plays fiddle, viola, clarinet,, viol and sings backup vocals on this album.
She completed a degree in music in 1998 and in
1997 released a solo fiddle album, Un p'tit
air de famille. Liette's performances have taken her throughout Quebec,
Ontario and France with bands ranging in style from contemporary-pop, jazz,
medieval, western, cajun, mexican and traditional. She has played with
the cajun group, Josephine and the medieval group, Strada.
Other musicians who added their touch on one or
two tracks are Anne-Marie Cassidy, cello; André
Marchand (Trio Marchand & Les chansonniers de
l'enfer), feet; Martial Patry,
guitar; and Jean-Paul Loyer (Ojnab), banjo.
