Rayna's BiographyWell, every other Coal Chamber page on the web has exactly the same bio, and it is not of Rayna, it is of the band, Coal Chamber. If you want to read that, check out Roadrunner Records, otherwise, stay here! There is not much info. out there on Rayna, which I think is a damn shame! I will tell you what I know, and I will then try to make some updates in order to fill in the blanks. Rayna has played Bass for about three years now, and is one of the founding members of Coal Chamber. In a music world dominated by MTV, and other anti-metal Nazis, Rayna has fought to get her band exposure, and to give the fans what they want. Following in the footsteps of other women Bassists, such as White Zombie's Sean Yseult, Rayna has not just broken the gender barrier, she has shattered it apart! Most importantly though, Rayna is not just a name in Coal Chamber's linear notes, she is a real person with a great personality! I had the honor of being able to meet Rayna at the first U.S. show of the Ozzfest '98 tour, July 3, in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was really cool! I ran into Rayna, along with then boyfriend Morgan Rose of Sevendust (they are now married), and told her how good Coal Chamber were, and wished her the best of luck. She could have been a snobby celebrity, and ignored me, but instead, she talked to me for a couple of minutes, which meant more to me than an autograph. Rayna, if you ever read this, I do hope I have the chance to see you again, it meant a lot to me. Facts and TidbitsBack To The Rayna Foss Homepage |
