Even though the Talking Heads
were still existing as a band, David Byrne was
already doing solo shows at that time.
"Solo" at this point means together with a twenty piece band, with lots of
percussion and brass.
Byrne gave an extremely swinging performance, playing the African sounding songs from the
Talking Heads' album Remain in light, as well as the Brazilian salsa he would
specialize in in later years. |
