Twisted Metal
Hints/Cheats
Here are all of the passwords for the levels in Twisted Metal: Warehouse -- Circle, Triangle, Square, Circle, Circle Freeway -- X, Square, Square, Circle, Triangle Park -- X, Triangle, Square, Circle, Square Cyburbia -- X, Square, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle Rooftop -- Square, Triangle, X, Circle, X - John Piddock Codes: Secret Level (More enemies) Square, Triangle, Circle, Square, Square Helicopter View (Last character is a blank.) Circle, Circle, Triangle, X, - Various Invicible- Square, Triangle, X, Space, O Unlimited Ammo- Triangle, Space, Square, O, O Finial Battle- Triangle, X, O, Square, Triangle - Justin These are some various tips for the PlayStation's "Twisted Metal." They are in no particular order, but they are helpful. Some you know, some you don't. Some weapons are located in odd places. You'll find some perched on top of trees in the City Park and Cyburbia, which can only be reached by driving over a well-placed catapult mine. Believe me--this takes practice, but is worth your while once you get the hang of it. A few of these hard-to-reach weapons are also hard to see, and you may have to use the disorienting driver's perspective to see them clearly. Some individuals in town (probably the morons you run over) foolishly leave their cars parked on the street. Some of these people left concealed weaponry in their cars for you to peruse. Seek and ye shall find. A few even have some handy TURBO boosts for you to swipe Destroy the admission booth beside the hockey rink in the City Park for 2 HOMING missiles. A well-hidden tip that I discovered quite by accident: driving up to the front of the Cyburbia convenience store will stock you with 2 HOMING missles and 2 POWER missiles, though their is no visible weaponry. You have to drive into the front door to get them. Notice the drainage tunnels in each corner of the canal in Cyburbia. Above each of these tunnels is a level platform. Drive up onto these platforms for some handy items. Also, the grate closest to the Cyburbia School can be blown away to reveal 2 POWER and 2 HOMING missiles. Be patient--it's a very sturdy grate. Novices not yet adept at precision handling or accurate shooting should get the hang of "Twisted Metal" by driving "Hammerhead:" good ol'-fashioned brute force that requires no catlike reflexes. Depressing tip: On the final level, you can NOT kill Minion by forcing him off the edge of a building. That huge suspended crate on the final level contains POWER missiles, HOMING missiles, and OIL (very useful on this level). You must shoot down the crate and then shoot it open. Be careful--it's close to the edge. Don't get overzealous like I did once.
