User Maps

On this page there are user maps for the Atomic/Plutonium Pak Edition of Duke Nukem 3D. If you have any maps for the Atomic Edition; i.e. has atomic enemies etc.; then please send them to me, zipped, along with a brief description and a txt file if you wish to include one.

If you need directions for using external maps, Here they are!

Key:S=Single player, C=Co-op, D=Dukematch, *=Does not require the Atomic Edition

The Shit part 1
The Shit part 2
(S,C,D) ~730K; ~832K; (~1.56MB total): This is a whole new episode replacing "THE BIRTH". I have not played the entire level yet, but I have played enough to know that it works and that it seems to be a pretty cool episode. Some of the con and art work of Bigatm.exe is used in this conversion.
It is in two parts because Fortunecity does not allow any files bigger than 1MB. The whole thing is about 6MB when unzipped. Hope you enjoy this episode.

Atomic_1.zip
(S) ~56K: This is a modified version of E1L5.map A.K.A. "The Abyss". It has been added onto in ways such as weapons, enemies and Atomic Edition art! More enemies have been added to add a little bit of excitement a whole lot of challenge!

BBQ.zip
(S) ~64K: Really challenging, several secrets, alot of enemies. Well built!

2The_Max.zip
*(S,C,D) ~56K: This map does not have any Atomic edition art, however, I decided to post it anyway, it is incredibly awesome, lots of special effects, and has alot of sneaky ways that it will trick you. I wish all the included maps were this good!

Directions
To run a user map, make sure the ".map" file is in the duke3d directory, most likely "C:\duke3d". After you've made sure it is in there, look for a file called "setup.exe" or, depending on your computer cofiguration, it may be just "setup." Double click it, and press the down arrow until you get to "Select user level." When you open that screen, you should get a list of map files that are in your directory. Choose th one you want, and hit "enter." You might have to hit "esc" to go back to the main setup screen, I am not sure at the moment. Then choose "save and Launch." The game should open and put you in the level you selected.
