The latest addition to the Pokémon library, Pokémon Yellow gives Pokémon Trainers a whole new way to catch 'em all!
Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition
Pokémon Yellow is similar to the Red and Blue versions of the game, but in this edition Professor Oak gives you Pikachu as your first Pokémon. This particular Pikachu doesn't like being cooped up in a Poké Ball, so you can actually see Pikachu as it follows your character on the screen.
You can look at Pikachu whenever you like, and its mood will change depending on how you've been treating it. Check out the Pika Page to learn how to keep your Pikachu happy. Other special features of Pokémon Yellow include:
| Pokémon are found in different areas than in the Red and Blue versions |
| Jesse and James from Team Rocket appear throughout the game |
| Special rewards for Trainers who keep their Pikachus happy |
| Rival gym leaders use different Pokémon and new battle strategies |
| Link two Pokémon Yellow cartridges for three new battle modes: Pika Cup, |
| Poké Cup, Petite Cup |
Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition is a great way for new Pokémon Trainers to enter the Pokémon universe, and it gives experienced Trainers a new challenge in their quest to become the world's greatest Pokémon Trainer.
