A veteran detective who believes that "a detective belongs in the field", is not on the road to a promotion any time soon. His dedication to his profession has contributed greatly to his family problems, Daniel and his wife Lorraine got a divorce a year ago. Later, after insisting that a boy needs his father as a role model, he took custody of his 8-year old son, Ben. Even though he's a devoted father, he sacrifices his family time for his job. Daniel is Aya's senior as well as parter and father figure.
