Stage
Two
Falstone is a brilliant stage and a pleasure to drive.
Fix up your car in the service area, then head out along
the winding forest roads. The beginning of the stage dips
in and out of forest clearings - the second time the
trees close in around the road you should slam the brakes
on to make the bend. The road runs through a series of
chicanes bordered by steep grassy banks, then leads into
a clearing and up a hill. At this point the road is on a
stony hillside you'll recognise it as the first real hill
of the stage and should hit the brakes once more to avoid
missing the bend just over the crest of the hill.
After the first five or six sections of the stage, keep
your eyes peeled for junctions. It's very easy to miss a
junction here as the roads aren't coned or closed off and
if you do miss a junction, you will lose alot of time. As
the stage progresses, it's important to keep the car from
sliding down the steep slopes at the edge of the road. As
the road twists and turns, its often faster to jump the
grass banks that surround the road. |
