Why to build a Webpage
The internet has been around for many years. It started out as
a way the military communicated. Through the years it has slowly
evolved into a well known way to spread information and just to
communicate with people across the world.
As some of you might know the internet is just a composite of
many different web pages and applites built with HTML and Java scripting.
There are many different reasons to build web pages. They break down
into two different catergories. The two big catergories that they
break down in to are business and liesure.
There are a few reasons why businesses use web pages. The most
ovious of them is to advertise their business. Another reason why
business build web pages are to get a broader span of customers.
Finally they build web pages to sell their produces over the internet.
In creating a business web page, the business opens up their business
to the world.
Businesses that revolve around activities and contests, such as
Golf courses and the YMCA, would build a web page and put stuff on
them telling when the activites would be... A calandar of events
type of thing. They could also use the web page to try to promote
their business. These businesses might also set up forms so people
can register for the activities or contests.
As the years pass, more and more homes are starting to have
computers. Some of them are not connected to the internet but more
then half are. With this increase in the use of the internet it is
no wonder that more personal pages are springing up across the net.
People make there own web pages for a variety of different reasons.
Many of the people make there web pages to tell about them i.e.
(hobbies, personal info). Others just make a page to get in touch
with friends and families. Then there are some that make a page just
for the fun of making one.
