Route 2

Viridian City has a Pokémon Mart, a Pokémon Center and a Gym. Gyms are where Pokémon trainers usually hang out, but this one is strangely empty. When you visit other towns, you'll be able to challenge local trainers, but for now, you'll have to be content with just looking around.

2. Diglett's Cave
Until one of your Pokemon learns Fly with HM02, then you'll have to rely on Diglett's Cave to get you East Mt Moon.

3. Trader Alert
The man inside the house on the top right is willing to trade his Mr. Mime for an Abra. If you don't have one yet, or still need cut, write a note and come back when you do!

4. An Illuminating Visit
The house in the middle and to the right is full of infomation about the secret HM 05 Flash. If you have 10 Pokemon, you'll get you own complimentry copy.

1. Entrance to Viridian Forest
This little building will lead you to Viridian Forest. The people in there will tell you a little of what to expect, but that's all. Stock up on Potions and Poke Balls before entering.
