StarCraft is probaly my favorite RTS multipayer game. I feel blizzard did a superb job as usual and feel there is no major problems with the game. That doesn't mean there aren't any. There are three distinct races to chose from in StarCraft. Usually there is two in a RTS. This does not mean more is better. In StarCraft it does because Blizzard balanced them perfectly (almost, nothing is perfect). Sometimes two races with similar capabilities is good and enshures the races are equal. Despite this Blizzard does and excelamt job in making sure there is not to much an advantage to any one race. The three races are the Zerg, the Terran, and the Protoss. The AI in starcraft is the best Iv'e seen. It will attack you constantly with different units and in different spots. The single player missions are good and well designed. The game is designed to be played in order of the Terran, the Zerg, then the Protoss with each campaign more and more difficult. On to the more important part of the game: Multiplayer. This is were the game really shines. Up to eight people can play over a lan, direct connect, or over Blizzards free internet gaming service; battle.net. Although slow and filled with the underlings of the multiplayer community battle.net's price is right and is very easy to use. Also bnet has a built in ladder so you never have to report a game. I perfer to play over kali but you may find you like bnet more. The game comes with lots of multiplayer maps and you can make your own with the campaighn editor. So go buy StarCraft because it's the best damn RTS ever.
