CODP Cross Country Report for February and March

Junior Olympic Report:

March 4th members of the CODP traveled to Jackson New Hampshire to compete in the Junior Olympics with is the age group national championships. Dan Skold of Hopkins won the 5km classic and the 5km skate races. He became the first male athlete from the Midwest District to accomplish this. Dan also placed 4th in the sprint competition. Lindsey Weier from Mahtomedi also won the 5km classic race, she placed 7th in the 5km skate and 4th in the sprint race. Kristen Fairman who took 3rd in the 10km classic and 7th in the 5km skate.

A total of 15 CODP athletes attended the competitions with 13 athletes scoring points. The CODP had 1/3 of the competitors 15/45 and scored 56% of the Midwest District points. The CODP accounted for 13 of the Districts 19 top 10 finishes.
