News as of September 29th:  Wow, it's been awhile since our last update, things have been busy with the school year starting again... But anyways, we have many things to cover. First, we would like to say that the Southern Rock Woodstock was a big success! There was a great crowd turnout, and was a really fun experience. Also, we now have T-shirts for sale, and to celebrate, we have changed the theme of the site to match the T-Shirts (clever, eh?) T-Shirts are $15 for all sizes and they're going fast, so grab some before someone else does! Also, if you noticed already, the layout of the webiste has changed a little: the "History" and "Bios" sections were consolidated into the "Band" section. The content hasn't changed, just the location. We also renamed the "Tour Dates" section to "Shows" (mainly because the word was too big to fit on the main page, ha), and we have dropped the calendar format too, to a simpler bulleted list setup. All this has been done to make your experience here at landofsouls.com better. We have also dropped the Pepsi vs. Coke poll, because we said we were going to stop it at 100 votes anyway, but then we forgot about it (you know us musicians) so the Pepsi vs. Coke poll has officially ended, and the results are:
Pepsi: 43 (28%)
Coke: 110 (72%)
we have reasons to believe some people were cheating though, because sometimes Coke would get about 20 votes in one night, but oh well, it's just a fun poll, it's not like the presidential election (if it was, Pepsi would probably demand a recount)

This just about completes our news for today, see you soon!

News as of August 6th: Hello Land of Souls fans! Another news update we have for you, this one mainly to catch up on some things missed. We do have some current information, that being that the Pier was a success, it was fun as usual, and, as usual, we met some new people. Speaking of meeting new people, we caught up with Richard Chambers, the promoter for the Southern Rock Woodstock. We talked about the upcoming event and got the tickets, which are on sale now! For a small $20, you can witness a great all-day event that you'll definitely enjoy. If you are interested in buying one or two or eight (which we hope you are), you can contact us at [email protected], or call us at 912-897-4832. Also, on 95.5 WIXV radio, Jeff Taylor will be interviewing us on the air on Friday, August 9th, between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00P.M.

In other news, we now have pictures from Ronnie's down in Green Cove Springs; along with pictures from the Islander. Stop by the pictures section and check 'em out!

News as of August 2nd: Hello Land of Souls fans! Boy do we have some exciting news for you! But first off, We'll bring you up to date on the past few venues. Our road trip to Greencove Springs, florida  on July 14th was a blast! We met lots of new friends (the folks of Ronnie's and Big Engine) and played a fantastic set. We would also like to thank Ronnie's Wings and Oyster bar and Tony, Hans, Banner, and Neil of Big Engine. Thanks a bunch guys!

The gig at the Islander on July 15th was good. The crowd was very enthusiastic, and it went over well.

Now, for the ultra-mondo-oompa-extremely-large-to-the-tenth-power news...
If you all have been listening to on 95.5 WIXV on the radio, you may already know about the Southern Rock Woodstock at the Roundhouse on September 21st. This will be an event like no other. There will be an all-star band featuring members of Lynard Skynard, 38. Special, Blackfoot, and Jimmy Van Zant. There will also be local bands such as Bounty Hunter, One-eyed Jack, and yours truly, Land of Souls. Yea, that's right. The gates open at the Roundhouse at 12:00P.M. and the show ends at 11:P.M. We will be selling tickets, and for more information on buying one or two or fourteen, email us at [email protected]. We are very excited about this upcoming event and would like to thank Jeff Taylor of I-95 radio for being supportive and helping us with this. Hope to see the rest of you guys there!
