Welcome to my gaming page. Here I will
discuss several games that exhibit good quality & are extremely popular. I will
not bother to overall summarize what most gamers already know...what I will do is offer
some insight(s) or hint(s) that may make the game more enjoyable. This site will
change from time to time due to newer games (so please be patient).
Click on the following link for the complete
updated info on Diablo II.
The
only authorized add-on to Diablo, only Sierra Online supports it. All the same
ingame tricks work as noted above. New quests, multiplayer option, & characters
can be had if you download & install the patch from Sierra with the added hack files
from my download site - just follow the readme text file included in the zip file.
The following is a summary of the hack capabilities:
Cowquest
replaces Lester the Farmer with...well, you just have to see this
hilarious new character. He will give you a quest just like Lester does after the
church and catacomb levels are cleared.
Theoquest places a new character in the game, a sweet little girl who has lost Theo
to the bad creatures in the hive. After you descend into the hive and then come up to town
again, you'll see her and she send you on a quest to find Theo for her.
Bardtest activates a new character class, the bard. She has maximum status of 120
strength, 120 magic, 120 dexterity, and 100 vitality. The bard can wield two swords
at once, getting damage bonuses from both applied to her attack. She's also able to do
sweep attacks and hit multiple creatures with one swing, much as the monk does. Her
special ability is the identify spell. The bard does not have new artwork, but
reuses the rogue's artwork.
Barbariantest activates yet another new character class. You guessed it--play as
"Ah-nold" the Barbarian now. This guy is pretty cool. His maximum stats are 270
strength (wow!), 0 magic (gulp!), 40 dexterity, and 150 vitality. He can use a
two-handed sword or mace/maul in one hand, and can also perform sweep attacks when not
wielding a shield. While he has no natural magic ability, this can be raised through
magic items. He does get some natural resistance to magic (it is linked to vitality,
resistance total and AC), however, his special ability is to rage, temporarily
raising his physical stats (but he pays for it by losing some life points as if he was
hurt by the rage spell). The barbarian reuses the warrior's artwork.
Multitest adds (you guessed it) the multiplayer option. Unfortunately,
Battlenet (TCP/IP) is not supported, but modem, IPX, null modem link is! The new
patch may not allow this feature to work.
By the way, you can leave out any part of the quests and
the others will still show up (except for the one you left out) in the command.txt file.
If you have not discovered Kali (gaming network)...
well, you need to. This network is has worked wonders in making Hellfire a easily
supported game in IPX (see Kali site for more info).
(most of the above summary was supplied
by C/Net's Gamecenter --- hey thanks Brett for letting me know about the info!)
Bullfrog's
Dungeon Keeper presents a unique aspect of the adventure gaming --- being the bad guy
("Evil is Good"). Not only do you have to create a dungeon, take care of
your monsters (feeding, paying & keeping general happiness), but you have to create
traps to punish heroes or other intruders that venture into your realm. You can even
possess one of your creatures to take on a whole new perspective of first person action
(verses a "3/4" overhead view - which you can rotate). The basic hint is
to save often. Further, make your rooms as close to a square shape as possible
(reinforcing the walls) --- this adds to its efficiency. Keep your training rooms
small to control $$$ flow. Build big libraries first, then big hatcheries.
Both will draw in powerful creatures (wizards & bile demons). Lastly, training
all your wizards to level 2 before you allow them to research... this will speed up your
research timetable.
Microsoft's Age of Empires is a unique combination of Civilization II,
Warcraft II and Command & Conquer. In this hot new title, YOU, the gamer, take
control of your tribe... build, explore, and conqueor until your empire is the winner (you
can decide the winning variables). Not only are you able to take charge of one of
twelve great empires of the past, but you are introduced to a well developed game
(including fantastic artwork, sounds, and features... heck, it even has a have
decent A.I.). Winning hints include developing your technology quickly, keeping a
good number of priests available to convert enemy troops, and of course... saving before
major moves against your enemy(s). This game is a real blast! By the way, AoE
already has a patch out... you can download it from my file download page.

Empires cheat page.
With a similar build-and-conquer to the Warcraft engine
that they are so famous for, StarCraft lets you choose between 3 very different
different races this time. Those scrappy Terrans just can't be stopped, making their way
across the galaxy with mobile factories that can quickly strip the resources from any
planet or asteroid. The Protoss are an ancient psychic species that have massive strength
and huge claws (not to mention guns and spaceships). Finally, the creeping menace that is
the Zerg wants a piece of the galaxy to, in fact, they want the whole thing. A communal,
biological horror, the Zerg don't build engines of destruction, they grow them.
Battlegrounds will
include the polluted planets that the Terrans leave behind. The dense jungle homeworlds of
the Protoss, orbital space platforms, and the freaky living surfaces of Zerg planets.
Other Features? The graphics looked terrific, and the maps can be up to 4 times the
size of WarCraft II PUDs. There will be full network support (of course) for up to
8 players over LAN or the battle.net internet site. The scenario editor will let you
change much more than just the maps, including graphics, sounds, and hero characters!
