Animation:
1. catch a visitor's attention; 2. demonstrate a simple process or 3. illustrate change over time;
Don't use more than one animation per web page and fellow good design practice because otherwise the visitor could be distracted or annoyed.
1. Animated GIFs (consists of a sequence of frames containing graphic images in GIF format that stimulate movement); - most popular and widely used form of animations; - Example for an animated GIF:
- there are several web sites where you can download free animations, e.g. www.animationfactory.com/
2. Flash Animation (flash stimulates motion via fast-paced presentation of changing static images); - a flexible tool to create streaming tool is Macromedia Flash;
