Where can I download UberHack?

BSR's Site: http://www.laughingcrowgraphics.com/BSR/downloads/uh30.exe

How do I find other UberHack Players?

The UH ICQ List contains a list of UH player's UINs for ICQ users. This is the most reliable method to find someone to play immediately.

A few can also be found on The Zone though you'll need to know who you're looking for.

Finally, many of the UH players can be found on the UberHack message board on www.tauniverse.com.

What about tournaments or ranked matches?

At the moment, there's unfortunately very little. The 2v2 tourney an UH ladder appear dead. Watch the UberHack message board for more info.

Is UH compatable with other units and mods?

With many but not all. It really depends on what IDs the other mods use. The UH Community Pack includes numerous third party units that are balanced and conflict free with UH. TA: Mutation includes various "mutators" that are compatable with UH. For more info on TA:M see the Resources section. There is a version of Queller AI on AI Central that is compatable with UH. There are also a few offshoots of UH, the most notable of them being DRUH--visit the DRUH message board for more info.

What's the history behind UberHack?

The answer is a rather long but quite entertaining post BSR made to the Uberhack forum I've copied to this page.

What if I have questions about the UberHack that aren't answered here?

Go to www.tauniverse.com and select the UberHack message board. If there's an answer to be had, someone there will have it.

BSR's site also has a lot of general info and links to related sites.

The TA Editing Center site also has plenty of info on UH including extensive unit data courtesy of Recon and almost all of the old versions of UH, in case you wanna check out a demo recorded with an older version, or just peep the notorious Thumper in action...

What the heck is the Thumper?

The Thumper was essentially a mobile Guardian. It was very unbalanced and it eventually was scrapped after a forum argument of epic proportions and a lesson or two in gameplay by the notorious Swedish Yankspankers. (I think the coolness of the model was about the best argument to keep it. :) But the unit became so renown as unbalanced that "Thumper" and "Thump" became generic terms for anything unbalanced -- "With that new range tweak the Executioner thumps."
