Bal Series
Being a test bed of the latest OS "M.S.B.S.ver.7" series which was developed for unhindered VR operations even under the influence of Mars Crystal, the machine was developed by the 8th Plant "Flesh Refoe". The same plant seems to have reached some form of agreement with the International War Corporation and monopolised the supply system of the OS. Essentially it is not a machine for use with battle, but the attack ability of its E.R.L.(Ejectable Remote Launcher) in some way surpasses that of the regular type VRs.

The first of the 3rd generation "Bal" series being developed. In order to cut off the obstructing effect of Mars Crystal, a booster part which utilises the potential of the V.Converter to the maximum is installed at its lower torso. As a result, a special and strange form of legless type is displayed.

It was developed as the machine for data collection in order to make the "M.S.B.S.ver.7 " series work with the usual humanoid battle VR. Among the 3rd generation of "Bal" series it is the first in which E.R.L. system is being loaded, and it was learnt that its attack efficiency is not merely limited to the test-type.
On the basis of the operational result by this machine, it was decided that the E.R.L. system was to be installed in all types of "Bal" series.

Mars is a severe battlefield. The test-type machine was based on consideration for survivability, and the type was developed to the format of "Bal" series.
Although the style of this quadripedal type is as unique as the other types in the series, but actually it is superior in terms of ease of operation, and it was used the most as the test bed of the testing OS.
