Introduction
Diablo, as you may guess by
now, is a RPG game. You walk about in this game viewing from a 3rd person perspective
(from the top). The game is completely random. Each time the game loads, you get different
monsters, items and levels. It is never the same twice!!
The game uses mainly the
mouse to move and attack. If you click on an enemy, you will attack once. If you click
twice, you will attack twice and so on. But if you click on the ground, you will move
there. The keyboard is also used but as hotkeys and faster ways of accessing things. This
game does not wait for you, so speed is very important.
You start off by picking
from one of the three characters (warrior, rogue, sorcerer). That will be your character
for the duration of the game. You can save your character and continue building him/her
thoughout different games. You may also change characters but you must start from scratch.
You can't switch characters in the middle of the game. In single player games, you must
save your character before quitting or you'll lose him/her. In multiplayer, the game saves
it for you every time you get or lose an item or experience point.
The objective of this game,
of course, is to kill the bad guys or whoever your enemy is. You are given spells, swords,
bows and potions to accomplish this task. In single player, you may be given quests (which
you don't really have to complete) in order to help the townspeople. You may also buy many
items from the townspeople to aid in your journey. All this leads to the final fight
against Diablo, the lord of terror.
