Original Rules

Dungeon of Sephiroth Rules and Vote

Okay folks we have 5 players.

Anyone who doesn't have web access (only email) let me know and I can email you the background information on the Western Shores where this adventure is set.  Keep in mind that it was written for the Fantasy Hero system which we will not be using - so you can ignore all the statistics.

 PBeM Rules

Please write in the third person format so I may easily cut and paste your text to the 'turn email' which will be sent out to all the other players.  I will adjust the text as necessary to hide/reveal information for different players according to circumstances.

Any text that is GM eyes-only, such as character thoughts, spell preparations, game questions or hidden actions, please enclose in square brackets and place it at the correct spot in your message if timing is needed (i.e. to show me when you do these things).  Or you can place the information in a separate paragraph at the end and label it appropriately.

I will send out the 'turn email' during the day on Monday.  There will only be one turn a week.  I will accept emails from players at anytime during the week, up until Sunday, after which please wait until the Monday 'turn email' before sending emails (otherwise you won't know how your previous actions affected the world).

Any dice rolling or conflict outcomes will be done by me and you will receive the results on the Monday turn.  I recommend that when writing actions you add qualifiers to it.  e.g. [If I feel I'm more skilled than the orcs, I'll attack the one I think is the strongest].  And the more descriptive you are (within reason) the better.

There are no spellbooks - magicians compose their own spells.  This means you write up the effect you want and I work out the difficulty.  If you do want to cast a spell, try to send me an email early in the week so I can send you a reply as to how hard it would be and you can decide whether or not to go ahead with it before you 'officially' do something and I let everyone know the results on Monday.

The players do not have magic items.  Magic items are rare.  Due to the nature of magic (all magic comes from the Gods) in my setting, there has been frequent jihads on magic items by religious fanatics that view them as trapped parts of the Gods and either set them free, or worship them as holy items which effectively takes them out of circulation anyway.

You will be writing up your own background and choosing skills and attributes within the character guidelines I will email you when I receive all voting responses.  In keeping with the blatant stereotypes, I would like you to name your characters appropriately, according to their race and class.

 Vote

Pretty simple really, same as before.  Just re-arrange the following words in the order that suits you.  First priority should be put first and the thing you care about least should be put last.

Female, Male, Good, Neutral, Evil, Combat, Magic, Bookkeeping, non-Bookkeeping.

 GameInfo

To give you some help for character backgrounds, the village you are meeting at is called Derisnospewn on the Black River east of Trell in the far north eastern part of the map.
