Red Rain:
GhoulsKat
(Rain)The original Beautiful Disaster.
How could you forget her? Just over five feet tall with a mane of flame-red hair, killer curves and eyes to die for...
Oh, I'm sorry; you did die for them, didn't you? Or because of them. It gets so hard to keep it straight sometimes.
She became Matt's best friend thanks to some of Yasmin's sorcery. Mistrusted, everyone blamed her; only he saw her as a victim.
When Rain absorbed Zeke's psyche along with his sire's soul, he began singing a different song about Kat... since she was "his" ghoul, too.
How does she feel about being a hand-me-down? Well, this is what she's been trained for...
Rafe
(Rain)Rain sought him out in Boston for one reason: a reliable source of quick money. The more he found out about him, though, the more Rain knew he needed and wanted Rafe as his point-man. Originally from New Orleans, Rafe carries with him a touch of a Cajun drawl and a frightening amount of knowledge about the dead, the mostly dead, and the not-quite-dead. He's also fiercely loyal to Rain, and it's not just the vitae. He runs the Voodoos, who followed him when the coterie moved to Baltimore.
Now he and his cousin, Phillipe, along with Phillipe's organization, diligently police Rain's territory in the wharf district and further the aims of their Kindred benefactor.
Kevin Richards
(Rain)Kev is loyal because he gets this ass-kickin' rush when he has a drink over at his pal, Rain's, place. He has no clue why these gangstas hang around, or why Rain has him working for the city, just like he had to in Boston. He spends most of his time in the sewers. Whoop-i-dee-doo!
Brad Aspen
(Sara)Beyond her Mentor and Rain, Sara doesn't get out much; but when she does, it' s usually to spend time with her single Ghoul. He is one of Kyle Griffin's students, a grad student working on a degree in Archaeology. He's got a specialty in Egyptian cultures, and Sara finds him far too valuable to let go. He seems to know more about the occult than may be good for him, though... Is that Sara's doing? Or Griffin's?
The Guardian Angels
(Matt)Life in the Inner City is tough, but the battle to reclaim a once-prosperous neighborhood from the violence which has seeped in just got a little easier thanks to Matt's vitae. Carefully choosing the best candidates, Matt made Ghouls of a half dozen of the troop which guards Green Street. They've got the edge, now, keeping the streets safe from the bad elements.
The Voodoos
(Rain)The bad elements. They consisted of Rafe's former gang plus some new additions Rain "found" in the warehouse which would become his primary public haven. At least they run the docks far from Green Street -- Matt's turf. They haven't clashed yet -- and it's not just distance that keeps that from happening: the Voodoos are actually part of the solution. Rain's given them the task of cleaning out the drugs and prostitution from his territory. Isn't that just oh so altrustic?
King Cobra
(Decker)This gruesome pet is actually quite docile--around Decker. This guardian keeps a watchful eye... on everything. He certainly fears nothing. I'm sure it would be a deadly chase if, say, a vitae-enhanced ferret and a blood-bound cobra were to tussle. Keeping this reptile around is also a slap in the face to a true Setite, who'd just love to claim such a specimin. Good thing there aren't any of those around to take offense.
Phoenix
(Christine)One of the first things Christine learned about her new existence is that you always need a good friend. Phoenix was one of the best while she was alive, and he's just as devoted to her now. The vitae she's added to his diet has just made him stronger, faster... better. Otherwise he's still the same good ol' dog who followed her wherever she went.
... and if you're looking for everyone's favorite (not to mention spoiled) Ghoul, Travolta, you'll find him with his favorite Leeches
here.
