FAKE PLASTIC TREES

THOM YORKE - RADIOHEAD

Her green plastic watering can - for her fake chinese rubber plant in the fake plastic earth

That she bought from a rubber man - in a town full of rubber plans to get rid of itself

And it wears her out...

It wears her out...

It wears her out....

It wears her out...

She lives with a broken man - a cracked polystyrene man who just crumbles and burns

He used to do surgery - for girls in the eighties. but gravity always wins

And it wears him out...

It wears him out...

It wears him out...

It wears-....

SHE LOOKS LIKE THE REAL THING...SHE TASTES LIKE THE REAL THING

MY FAKE PLASTIC LOVE

BUT I CAN'T HELP THE FEELING...I COULD GO THROUGH THE CEILING

IF I JUST TURN AND RUN.....

And it wears me out...

It wears me out...

It wears me out...

It wears me out...

and if i could be

who you wanted

if i could be

who you wanted

all the time....

all the time....

When I first heard this song, I was hooked. Straight away I knew that this was something special, something that would help reflect my life at that moment. A moment of being helpless and yet secure. A playground roundabout that seemed fun at first, but slowly grew pale and monotonous. The melodious and beautiful tune created a world where I could retreat to when times got rough ( Much like in the movie 'Heavenly Creatures', but don't worry. I'm not a Caaahhrraaayyzzeeee guy...hehe). The lyrics stayed a complete mystery to me until something very significant happenned in my life, something that I wish had never happenned. Just then, I realised that most of RADIOHEAD'S lyrics had amiguious meanings. Just then, the lyrics made sense. My version of the meaning may differ to what was actually intended, but I don't care. All I heard was what I interpreted from these cryptic clues, and that was all I needed to know. Honestly, I will even go as far as to sing it for you, just to let you know the beauty of the song, but only if I had a guitar within reach and a few drinks under my belt..hehe. Man, I really do sound crazy. Do me a favour and pass me those pills will ya... ;-)

NEXT SONG...
